Product description

Pilot Pulse offers a unique sound and explosive acceleration during topspin. The rubber is equipped with IN-TENS sponge set at a 37.5° angle. Combined with a flexible top layer with a higher coefficient of friction (GRIP EXTEND and PULSE technologies), Pilot Pulse is an energetic combination of speed, resonance and ultra-precise feel in relation to the ball.

Speed

IN-TENS² sponge is the market leader in terms of energy transfer. It fully meets the expectations of even the most demanding players, providing reinforced contact with the ball, precision and comfort. It also guarantees maximum pleasure thanks to the sound emitted with each strike.

Speed ​​is determined by the specifics of the sponge + top layer, and primarily by the properties of the sponge (the "spring effect" of elasticity + thickness + hardness). A thick sponge (2.0mm or max) will be more suitable for OFF/OFF+ players, while a thinner one (1.6 or 1.8mm) will provide better control and will be better suited to all-round players. Sponge hardness is usually measured in degrees (higher grades mean harder sponge).

Ball rotation

The GRIP EXTEND outer layers allow for even more spin in every phase of the game thanks to increased elasticity and an impressive level of grip. The grip is determined by the specificity of the sponge + top layer, and above all by the properties of the top layer (grip + elasticity + shape). With better grip, the ball's spin will be better. Then, greater elasticity will increase the contact surface with the ball. The shape and density also have a big influence on the effect.
