OFFLANDER ROOF TENT FOLD 2 SAND
The FOLD 2 roof tent by OFFLANDER is the fourth generation of a tent model tested by users. It is loved mainly by families with children and those who need more space in their tent. FOLD 2 is durable, quick to set up and comfortable to rest for up to 4 people.
The fourth generation of the FOLD 2 is based on the proven folding design and durable materials. The system of locks and buckles has been improved, and the design of the ABS casing has been improved. We have added a new shoe bag, Velcro on the flysheet, a strip for accessories. Inside, you will find a mountain landscape printed on the tent wall, a new mattress and cover, an LED lighting strip... and a few other small details.
Find a place with a wonderful view and watch it in the morning from the window of the tent on the roof of the car, holding a cup of hot coffee in your hand. Does it sound tempting? We are sure it does! Do you feel like a solo trip out of town? Nothing could be easier. Grab the most necessary things and set off to conquer the wilderness. The only limit is your imagination.
COMFORT FOR 2 PEOPLE
Inside, there is a mattress made of Memory Foam measuring 205 × 145 cm and 4 cm thick. This is sufficient thickness and surface area to provide comfortable sleep and rest for up to four people. Lying on it, you can admire the starry night sky. The roof window, depending on your preferences and the outside temperature, can be completely closed, opened or covered only with a net, which will protect you from unwanted insects on summer evenings. On hot days, you can completely pull down the upper flysheet.
There is an anti-condensation mat under the mattress. This is a special layer that is designed to reduce the condensation of water vapour. During the use of the tent, especially when the outside temperature is lower and the inside is warmer, moisture in the form of water vapour begins to condense on cold surfaces, including the roof tent material. This can lead to the formation of damp, mould and fungi, which in turn can negatively affect the condition of the tent and the comfort of use. The anti-condensation mat works on the principle of a breathable membrane. This layer has small porous holes that allow water vapour to flow, while at the same time stopping water drops. 
TIP: If condensation occurs, it is recommended to wipe the accumulated water with a dry cloth. The thickness of the mattress is limited by the construction of the tent - if it is too thin for you, we recommend additional inflating mats or mattress toppers. Remember, however, that you will have to take it out every time you want to pack your tent.

INTERIOR OF THE TENT
The fourth generation FOLD 2 [from 2023] also features a new upholstery made of a nice material with a mountain graphic. It may be a small thing, but we are sure that this picturesque landscape will make your stay in the tent more pleasant. We have also changed the mattress to a model with Memory Foam technology in a new cover made of slippery material. It is definitely easier to keep clean - just a wet cloth to wipe off mud stains.
FOLD series tents appear larger than they actually are, thanks to the extra space provided by the unique design of the fold-out floor, covered entrance and four large window openings.
There is enough space in the tent that you can easily change into it for bed. On cold days, it is also a good idea to store your shoes inside. A specially designed bag closes tightly with Velcro, so you can safely throw wet shoes into it. 
SPEED OF FOLDING
Most people who travel with rooftop tents, when they arrive at the campsite, immediately start setting up the tent. They are tired from the journey, it takes a long time and a lot of energy, sometimes it is already dark and there are other duties that require attention.
The roof tent takes 1 minute to set up. Get out of your car and start camping in 60 seconds. The FOLD 2 shell unfolds automatically using a hydraulic lever. No more complicated struggles after a long drive. The lack of a hammer or too short pegs will no longer stress you out. With the FOLD 2 tent, you can prepare a camp in a picturesque place in no time.
TIP: Remember to secure the ladder well before use. It is also a support for the unfolded floor, and a properly unfolded floor is a mechanism that tensions the fabric and the tent flysheet. A ladder placed on uneven ground can be damaged. Make sure to secure it well - if it moves away, block it with a stone or drive in a peg to block it. As a last resort, you can also move the car to another place.
LIGHTWEIGHT AND AERODYNAMIC DESIGN
FOLD 2 looks great on a car. It is probably the only tent on the market that is only 120 cm wide when folded, which means that in 99% of cars it will not protrude beyond the outline of the car. It is not only aesthetics, but also aerodynamics. The height of the folded tent is only 25 cm. Thanks to this, regardless of whether you plan to place it on a Pick-up, SUV, Van or passenger car, its shape will not hinder you while driving. 
The tent cover is made of plastic and durable ABS, which is resistant to mechanical damage. Hitting a branch or rubbing against a tree in the field is no obstacle. The cover bends slightly and takes the impact without breaking.
The tent is designed to be placed on two roof bars. Simply mount it to them using the included brackets. Before mounting, also make sure that the dynamic load capacity of your car roof and beams is 75 kg or more. The tent shell may deform under the influence of temperature, and this is completely normal.
TIP: Folding a tent on tall vehicles may require more practice, and the roof platforms can be a challenge. But don't worry - you'll get the hang of it and have your tent up in no time. 
We recommend folding the mattress in half along the fold first. This will help indicate where the tent will fold and will indicate how much space you have for additional items in the tent. Lay everything flat to the height of the mattress in a free space by the wall. Remove the roof locks, actuators, and canopy tension rods. Leave the windows open – air will escape from the tent more quickly when folding. Fold the floor with the ladder. Make sure that the material on the corners does not prevent the tent from fully folding. If so, lift the floor slightly and pull out some of the material. Fasten the auxiliary strap, which will tighten the material on the sides when folding the shell. Close the shell using the middle zipper. Slide the flysheet material into the left and right sides of the tent. Close the remaining zippers alternately until fully closed.
VENTILATION AND WATERPROOF
The tent is made of durable RIP-STOP fabric with a density of 280G and a water resistance of 2000 mm. The material will easily withstand several hours of heavy rain. Such fabric parameters guarantee that it will be waterproof, resistant to mold and mechanical damage, and will also provide you with proper ventilation and access to fresh air inside. 
The RIP-STOP technique means that a thread of stronger fiber has been added at regular intervals. This improvement additionally prevents the material from tearing. The zippers at the window openings have also been secured so that water does not get inside.
You can turn the window closure into a canopy. It will provide protection against rain and excessive sun. You no longer have to close the windows during unfavorable weather. Additionally, open windows will provide you with continuous ventilation and access to fresh air, and mosquito nets placed in them protect against insects. In the tent you will also find transparent foils, which you can attach to the windows with Velcro. Thanks to this, even on a rainy day, water will not get inside, and the tent will still be bright.
TIP : To avoid excessive condensation in the tent, leave at least small gaps in the window openings so that water vapor can escape. Even a small amount of water that settles in the tent can contribute to the formation of mold. Tightly closing the tent at lower temperatures will only slightly improve the thermal conditions inside it. Instead, we recommend warm sleeping bags, thermal underwear or a parking heater. 
TROPIC
The flysheet is made of Oxford 420D fabric with a PU water resistance of 2000–3000 mm. This material is primarily characterized by high durability and resistance to mechanical damage. Oxford 420D is made of nylon or polyester, which has been impregnated with a PU coating (polyurethane), which makes it fully waterproof. The fabric is also characterized by a good appearance, and the light color perfectly reflects light. This material is easy to clean and maintain, so keeping it in good condition will not be a problem.
TIP: We recommend waterproofing your flysheet before each camping season. A standard waterproofing agent available at most tent stores will suffice.
You can roll the flysheet up towards the tent shell on warm days. This will allow the roof window to open completely and provide more ventilation to the tent.
ACCESSORIES
For your convenience and space, the tent comes with a large bag in which you can store your shoes or other essential items. Inside the tent, in its upper part, there is a 3-level LED strip with light intensity, which you can turn on by connecting a Powerbank with a USB port to it. It allows you to illuminate the interior and makes it easier to move around in it after sunset. The LED strip uses very little energy, so you don't have to worry about it suddenly going out at the least appropriate moment. 
The tent also comes with a foldable aluminum ladder. It is permanently built into the tent floor and hides in the cover when folded. The ladder has two locking steps to help level the tent floor on uneven ground.
You can buy an annex or a roof for your tent. The vestibule will not only make it easier for you to store accessories needed during the camping trip, but it will also provide more privacy. The roof, in turn, can serve as an additional place to rest in the shade or as protection from the rain.

Why is our brand OFFLANDER ?
The name was created from a combination of two concepts that are close to us: offroad and overlanding . OFFROAD is freedom and independence, overcoming obstacles, sometimes lacking a plan or sleeping under the stars. OVERLANDING, on the other hand, is more planned travel, with family and friends, camping on campsites, traveling on gravel roads, without overcoming more difficult obstacles. The new name is to refer to the style of traveling and the new assortment that we are happy to design for you.
