The BATWING self-supporting awning from OFFLANDER will provide effective protection against adverse weather conditions, such as rain or intense sun. It will also help you organize the space around your vehicle, especially on those hot or rainy days. 

Durable 420D Oxford fabric with a 2000-3000mm water resistance offers excellent durability and weather protection while remaining lightweight and easy to use. Oxford fabrics are easy to clean and dry quickly. 

The solid construction of the awning is made of lightweight powder-coated aluminum profiles, which ensures durability and ease of use for many years. BATWING stands out with its 270-degree span around the car, which provides protection on one of the longer sides of the car and, more importantly, its rear. There, we usually have access to the trunk or part of the building with the kitchen. 

The BATWING awning is a self-supporting awning, which means that it can function as a free-standing structure, without supports. However, in the event of strong wind or rain, it should be stabilized with the included four adjustable posts. Such a procedure will certainly be necessary during rain to relieve the awning wing and properly drain water between the awning arms. The posts are permanently attached to the arms. Thanks to this, they are always in place, and in the event of a sudden downpour, you do not have to look for them to support the awning. 

The awning is folded and stored in an enlarged cover made of durable PVC, which not only protects the roof from damage and dirt, but also makes it easier to quickly fold it and store the material in the cover. We have provided additional space inside the cover for posts and smaller tarps or the UNIWALL wall from OFFLANDER. Everything will fit in the cover without a problem. The looser PVC material does not make noise during travel and certainly makes packing easier. 

The awning arms are equipped with two LED strips embedded in their structure. Powered by a USB socket or a 12V cigarette lighter with a built-in mode switch. We have three types of light to choose from: white, orange and mixed. This solution provides us with adequate lighting of the usable space and, more importantly, using orange light limits the number of insects attracted by white light. This possibility of changing the light colour to orange is not only a matter of aesthetics, but also a practical solution that minimises the risk of attracting mosquitoes or attention at incognito camps, which is especially useful during evening camping. 

Folding and unfolding BATWING is simple and intuitive. Open the cover, extend the awning wing, secure and you're done! The awning can be attached to the roof bars or roof platform from the driver's side or from the passenger side, depending on the model LEFT / RIGHT. The set includes appropriate brackets for mounting to flat surfaces such as roof platforms or wider roof beams. The mount should be securely attached to the car to avoid damage during transport. Folding the side canopy does not require much effort, which makes BATWING an ideal choice for trips and outdoor activities.

An awning is a bit like an umbrella. If you have it, it can get in your way, but if you don't have it and it starts raining, it's a nightmare. That's how it is with an awning, it's often not opened on our long or short trips. But when the weather turns bad, we're happy to have it. It saves our [and others'] sips on camping trips.
