Belt malfunctions are divided into two types of adjustments:
- Belt tension
- Right-left adjustment (centre belt operation)
If during training we feel an unpleasant slippage of the belt under our feet, it is most likely that the belt has stretched along its circumference, which is a natural result of its use.
Tightening the running belt
To tighten the belt, disconnect the device from the power supply, turn both adjustment screws (located in the rear shaft) clockwise (right) EVENLY by one turn (360 ° ) and perform a test training, remembering to use the safety key. If the problem persists, add another EVEN turn to the right. If after approximately 3 turns the situation does not change, we usually have a problem with a loose engine drive belt and depending on the model it needs to be tightened or replaced with a new one. We recommend using service for these activities.
The running belt is moving to the side, what should I do?
The second method of adjustment is to adjust the centric operation of the belt, we do this when our belt has drifted to the right or left and is not working in the middle of the running space.
The first step is to start the treadmill and leave it running at about 5 km/h for 2-3 minutes, this will allow our belt to adjust to its working position. The next step is to unplug the machine.
To simplify the operation, we only adjust the right adjustment screw, and the principle is as follows: Turning the adjustment screw clockwise (to the right) causes the belt to move to the left, while turning it counterclockwise (to the left) causes the belt to move to the right.
We make the adjustments with the treadmill switched off, turning it no more than one revolution and checking the correctness by starting the treadmill at a speed of about 5 km/h and giving it 2-3 minutes for the belt to stabilise, after a dozen or so seconds we should see that the belt has moved in the right direction, if it is too little, we need to repeat the action, adding e.g. half a revolution, if it is too much, we need to subtract half a revolution, etc. A heavily worn belt may not want to be adjusted, if you have any doubts, use the services of a service centre.
